Q&A

How did you learn of Costumers with a Cause?

I was in the 501st Star Wars costuming club when I decided I really wanted to do something similar but with superheroes. A quick search later and I found Costumers with a Cause, after researching the group it was everything I was looking for and more, so I reached out to join.

What is/was your favorite experience when in costume and why?

I think it was the first time I suited up in my full Iron Man suit. There was a big learning curve in how to get into it, how to move in it, and how to be comfortable in it for any period of time. Even with those issues though, the way it made me feel and the reactions I got from people was so worth it.

Do you have a favorite superhero? If yes, who and why?

Iron Man of course! Even without his suit he is a genius, billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist. So even without superpowers, he proves you’re able to accomplish so much.

If you could cure any disease or disability, which would you cure?

Dementia. I’ve lost people to dementia and it’s heartbreaking to watch. The most important thing we have is our memories and to see that stripped away from someone is just awful. What good is living to an old age if you can’t take your memories with you?

What hobbies do you have outside of CWC?

I’m a gamer, both PC and PS5. From World of Warcraft to FIFA.

The world is your oyster. You can go anywhere and do anything for as long as you’d like. Where would you go and what would you do?

I have a cousin that lives in England that I’d like to visit someday. I also always wanted to have a boat and learn to sail. There is just something about the freedom of it that really appeals to me.

Are there any causes or foundations that come close to your heart? If yes, which ones? Why?

Make a Wish. What they do is just amazing.

Who are your real-life heroes?

I’d have to say Elon Musk since he’s as close as we have to a real Tony Stark.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

Going to Disney World with my parents. I remember walking around Epcot Center’s World Showcase in heavy rain wearing Disney raincoats. There weren’t many people in the park, and it felt like we had the entire place to ourselves.

Tell us one thing you think would surprise us.

I’m the seventh child in my family. My mom and six miscarriages before me and one after. I’m the only one that survived.
